Colin Seale to Keynote Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented’s 2019 Parent Institute

Colin Seale to keynote the 2019 AAGT parent institute

All children deserve an education that unleashes their full potential. But after a decade of reforms meant to give every child access to rigorous educational opportunities, we still do not provide equitable access to deeper learning experiences. Critical thinking is the heart of deeper learning, but in the scramble to close the achievement gap, we’ve created an unacceptable dichotomy.

Parent’s Role in Closing the Critical Thinking Gap

Critical thinking is the essential 21st century skill—a key element of what our students need to compete in our rapidly-changing global marketplace. On the other hand, access to critical thinking is still a luxury good and students with the greatest potential are too often challenged the least. This is why Colin Seale, founder and CEO of thinkLaw, is excited to deliver the keynote address for the Arizona Association for Gifted and Talented (AAGT) Parent’s Institute. Parents play a crucial role in closing the critical thinking gap and it’s easier than you might think to engage kids in critical thinking every day. We are all responsible for making sure that we no longer leave genius on the table.
