Tabitha’s entire career has revolved around ensuring equity for all students. She has experience teaching elementary math, science, and gifted and talented students. She decided to continue her education and earned her M.Ed. in Special Education from the University of Houston-Victoria, which eventually led to her position as Special Education Department Chair.
Despite serving in a variety of roles during her career, she remained committed to developing and interacting with students from underserved communities. She has taught in both public and charter schools in Texas, leading in-person and virtual classes. Over the course of those nine years, she had the opportunity to inspire young learners to believe in themselves and their ability to learn, regardless of their background or abilities.
As a result of this experience, she is now sharing her passion for education with other educators to help them ignite the spark of learning in their students. She spends her free time traveling, trying out new recipes, or immersing herself in a weekend of self-care.
